I have always wondered why people enjoyed playing Roblox so much. I think it's because it's very similar to Minecraft in many ways; for one thing, the graphics are very childish which got me interested at first. Because the game is customizable, you can choose to look at the world through a little boy's eyes or that of an adult. I chose to be an adult for a time, but it was always hard to play because it would become so boring. But at some point when I was playing Roblox, my interest in it started to fade away. The reason for this is because of the new updates they made to Roblox. Now there are so many advertisements everywhere and so many games being added every day. You never play with friends because everyone has their own account and their own games they are playing. Even if your friends are on, you have no idea who they are because they could just be anyone.

She had created a character named Emily Roe that she used to bully another player online. The bullying campaign went on for over a year until it came to her parents' attention and they contacted Roblox about it. The harassment campaign violated the Child Online Privacy Protection Act COPPA. Her parents encouraged her to create a character named "Emily Roe" and they hoped that this would help her get unbanned from Roblox.

On July 3rd, 2018, ROBLOX announced that they were no longer allowing people to make custom models for their games. Instead, they would be allowing users to build blocky models that could not be edited at all. They stated that this would prevent the creation of custom models and save money by preventing expensive data transfers.[22] The change was made in order to clean up the game because custom models complicates the "Roblox experience" in some cases.
